China Pictures - The Jinggang Mountain is located in the west of Jiangxi Province
The Jinggang Mountain is located in the west of Jiangxi Province,China Pictures, with basins surrounded by precipitous mountains. This lush mountain area is known as "the cradle of the Chinese Revolution" because it is the first rural revolutionary base set up by Mao Zedong during the second Civil Revolutionary War. There are one after another waterfalls and pools in Jinggang Mountain, and among them, five pools and five waterfalls lie in the Jade Valley less than two kilometers long. Walking from the Longtankou by the site of the Xiaojing Red Army Hospital, one can see the first waterfall 800 steps down the down the granite path. Known as the Jade Pool Waterfall, it rushes down from cliffs above, with a fall of 67 meters and a width of 6 meters at the top and 17 meters at the bottom. It sends out a thunderous sound and gives off thick mist. The water has the color of green jade,Shanghai Travel, hence the name Jade Pool. The Jade Pool is located at the outset of the canyon, with precipitous mountains on three sides covered with green moss. The sightseeing path is built on the comparatively less steep side. Thick mist and clouds rise on this side, with trees and bamboos swaying to one side in the strong wind. Folds on the cliffs look like a Kwan-yin sitting on a lotus throne. The Jade Pool Waterfall is one of the grand ones in Jinggang Mountain.

The Huishan Hill is famous for its springs, among which the most famous one is the second spring under heaven. This spring is divided into three pools: the upper pool, the middle pool and the lower pool. The lower pool is at the entrance,China Pictures, dug in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), with water flowing down from a hole above and then out of the mouth of a stone dragon to the ground. A hall named Qilan (ripples and billows) Hall stands beside the spring, with a Kwan-yin stone erected in front of it. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the stone was moved here from the villa of Gu Kexue, a senior official of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In the back of the hall is the well-known Erquan Pavilion. The upper pool and the middle pool situate inside and in front of the pavilion respectively, dug during late Dali year (779) of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The upper pool has an octagonal shape, with the best water quality among the three pools. The middle pool has a shape of asymmetrical square, with its water seeping though the Ruobing Hole. According to legend, the pool was discovered by a monk named Ruobing in the Tang Dynasty,Shanghai Travel, hence the name Bing Spring.

Meizhou City is located in the northeast of Guangdong Province, adjoins to Wuping, Shanghang, Yongding and Pinghe counties in Fujian Province to the northeast, connects with Xunwu County in Jiangxi Province to the northwest, borders Longchuan County and Zijin County in Heyuan City of Guangdong Province to the west, and neighbors Luhe County of Shanwei City and Longcheng District and Jiexi County of Jiexi City in Guangdong Province to the south, and borders Chao'an County and Raoping County of Chaozhou City to the southeast. Under its jurisdiction there are Meijiang District, Meixian County, Jiaoling County,China Pictures, Dapu County, Fengshun County, Wuhua County and Pingyuan County. ¡¡¡¡ ¡¡¡¡Meizhou has a long history. It was established as a prefecture named Jingzhou in the Nanhan (911-971), changed into Meizhou in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and Jiaying Prefecture in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). After several subsequent shift of jurisdiction and change of popedom,Shanghai Travel, it was turned into Meizhou City in 1988. Now Meizhou is a famous historical and cultural city.

The Chang'an Site is located 5 kilometers northwest to the Xi'an City of Shaanxi Province. During the 200 years of the Western Han Dynasty (206BC-8AD), Chang'an City was the capital all along, acting as the national political, economic and cultural center. ¡¡¡¡ ¡,Shanghai Travel;¡¡¡The construction of Chang'an was divided into three phases. In the 5th year (202BC) of Emperor Gaozu's reign, Emperor Liu Bang renovated the Xingle Palace built in the Qin Dynasty (221-206BC), changed its name into the Changle Palace and moved the capital there. A Weiyang Palace was constructed in Chang'an in the 7th year (200BC) of Emperor Gaozu' reign. Emperor Huidi ordered to construct the city walls right after he ascended to the throne. In the spring of the third year in his reign, Emperor Huidi ordered 140,000 young people in the 600-li city to construct the walls. In the 1st year (104BC) of Emperor Wudi's reign in the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD), a number of buildings were constructed in the city, including the Northern Palace, the Gui Palace, the Mingguang Palace, and the Jianzhang Palace, together with the Kunming Pool and the Shanglin Garden. Till then, the construction of various facilities in Chang'an City was complete after more than 90 years work.
