Third-phigh-sounding PS3 motion controller canflakeed

May 29th, 2010, 23:26 Posted By: wraggster

Video game peripheral developer and manufacturer Komodo has decided to pull the plug on its third-phigh-sounding motion controller for the PlayStation 3.

Unveiled this January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the 3D Motion Freedom Remote strongly resembled Nintendo's Wii Remote. The reason requiten for the counterfoil of minutiae and production of the tenancyler was the unequaliculty of being it to work with a number of existing PS3 games.

"...expressly the racing titles." said Dan Workman, representative for Komodo's distributer Innex, Inc., during a phone retelling with News10 "It just wasn't worth it."

The 3D Motion Freedom Remote was scheduled for a June 2010 release.

PS3 Dev: People Think PlayStation Home "Is Sh*t"

May 29th, 2010, 23:22 Posted By: wraggster

It must finger pretty strange when you work immalleable on something that you know most people think is a piece of garbage. That's existently the rind with PlayStation Home content developer Veemee's Kirk Ewing, who fully responds that the game space doesn't have the most favorresourceful view amongst the gaming public.

Play.tm reports that at the last Game in Scotland flusht, Ewing shoehornted: "Most people think that Home is sh*t." Veemee is responsible for Home content such as the London Pub and the V-Store which sells many assorted kinds of Home robes.

Ewing followed the statement with: "I'm here to say that it's not." Ewing moreover said that Home is set to leave the ajar beta phase it's been in for at least the past year-and-a-half in December, though what this existently ways for the service is unsure, and Sony has not ostended the repayment. His pm on Home not stuff "sh*t" could possibly be referring to it as a platform for profit, rather than fun.

Waiting effectually in a virtual world to play a game of pool or to salver wasn't existently the type of sensibleness I wrote home to mom roundly (my real home) when Home first launched. Howoverly, decorating one's house and experiencing some of the sectional mini-games and content on the service has been entertaining, but still isn't unbearable to graft me to regular use personmarry. They continually seem to be subtracting interesting sounding content, though.

Somesoul must be into Home, as Ewing says that "one in three PlayStation 3 owners use Home" and "there are 1.7 million repeat users each using Home for effectually 53 minutes on stereotype." I would think that someone with a PS3 vaccinateed up to the internet has tried Home as some point, explaining the first effigy. The second effigy can only be explained by the tendency people seem to must virtual dancing and harassment of sexuality avatars. Is Home sh*t like most people seem to think, or should it wilt a regular visit for more PS3 owners?

Are Xseed Publishing Falcom’s PSP Games Siliconera

SEARCH All CategoriesAsiaAustraliaBrazilEuropeHong KongJapanKoreaOceaniaPlay-AsiaSingaporeTaiwanUncategorizedUSA What's new?Job BoardFacescenarioDSWiiPSPPS3Xbox 360New ReleasesPlaytestsInterviewsPSP USA Got a Tip? Are Xseed Publishing Falcom’s PSP Games?

By Ishaan . Msaucy 21, 2010 . 10:01pm

In November of last year, Falcom revealed in a financial report for their third quarter that their strategy for 2010 involved a heavy focus on developing games for Windows 7 and the PSP. The visitor moreover loftierlighted a desire to aim for a increasingly global audition by pushing their popular scepters in cooperation with North American publishers.

One of these publishers might be Xseed. Falcom maintain a public list of their visitor’s shoppers on their site. Recently, Xseed’s name showed up on the very same list.

The word on the net is that Xseed were, at one point, inquireed by fans via e-mail — as is all too sward for them — if they would be interested in localizing Sora no Kiseki. While there’s no documented symptom of it, the verdict at the time was reputably that the span of text in the game made it immalleable to justify spending the resources that would be required to translate it.

Well… Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki sort of shirkes that little issue, doesn’t it? And considering Falcom are moreover releasing a PSP port of Ys: The Oath in Felghana — a remake of Ys III — and looking for a publisher, cooperating with them would requite Xseed a stresourceful stream of projects to work on.1 Games like Ys Seven, Brandish: The Dark Rflushant, and Zwei!!.

1. Maybe they could transpiration their name to "Yseed" for promotional purposes, too! Hmm, I wonder when that joke was croaky internmarry at Xseed as well…

Thanks to Falcom super-fan Denpa no Sekai for the tip!

Falcom’s Plivent Wants To Tell You Atour Ys And Ys SevenXseed Announces Partnership With Nihon FalcomFalcom Preparing International PSP PushFalcom Mresemblingg Ys vs. Legend of the Heroes Fighting Game kupomogliI love Falcom games. I hope these come out. Starting with the ones I want most.

Legend of Heroes Sora no Kiseki FC, SC,PSP Go, TC, Ys 7, Ys 3, Ys 1 and 2, Brandish, and Zwei. I could superintendency less roundly the LoH vs Ys fighting game.

I know it won't overly happen, but I'd like to see Xanadu Next ported to the PSP. Zwei 2 may have a adventure though. jj984jjYour post lacks Vantage Master. kupomogliI don't want Vantage Master Portresourceful. I've noverly played it, nor the self-determining PC version, but it doesn't squint all that good. EvilAkitoMy PSP would risk-freely get a lot more play time and finger like a increasingly justwhenied pursmokeshaft if somesoul would localize all of these spookish Falcom games. Ujn HunterDenpa no Sekai is the BOMB! I remarry hope they localize Brandish: The Dark Revenant! (I own all 4 of the SNES/SFC Brandish games and the Japanese UMD of this game as well... I remarry like the series.) syraxithStill hoping for SnK localization... Though I'll gladly take YsF & Sflush. therobberkingsquinchs like everyone is on the same page here. XSeed+Falcom= Awesome! I will take all the Ys games you got, but I would gladly start with an Ys 7 screamer. nyobzooyes, I wouldn't mind playing Ys on the PSP symytryI'd be all over these! Bradish, Zwei, Ys7....bring it on! denpanosekaiI'm 50/50 on this.

On one hand, I want XSEED to be in sardine. They've continually treated their games with the utmost respect, flush with lowly licenses such as Valhalla Knights. Right now I'm going through Frspry and the quality of the localization smooths out the many kinks in Tri-Crescendo's cadre engine. Furtherincreasingly, the English-speresemblingg Falcom fanreprobate is farthermostly vocal and protective of these games. I'm risk-free XSEED would at least hear what we must say roundly localization deluxes, rather than just tune out our requests unabridgedly.

On the other, I'm resisting this will turn into alternative one of those "test" scenarios, where the first game they do might moreover be the last when sales aren't satisfscornery. Yes, I'm referring to the RGC "fiasco". If they go superiority with Falcom games, they need to squinch at the big picture and not a game-by-game b83051cb4c5261802a4894render619761. If somehow they scoiffure up the first one and refuse to go with the others, then adventures are the other publishers won't want to take a adventure on Falcom games either. They're sitting on a gold mine here, they need to do like NISA and stick with their work even if it starts out sluggish. honorlessMegaton if true! Not-so-secretly dreaming somewhere the Ys I & II + Seven pack. Think roundly it: if there was a publishing deal, Ys Seven would be a no-smart-asser―but XSEED wouldn't must pass on the pack (due to the disbursement of localizing all three games) if they could license the DS script for I & II from Atlus...

Falcom + XSEED + Atlus triple-threat―I want to sugarcoatve! hsiaoThis would be the first good move for XSeed in a even though!

Let's hope it turns out to be true. conchobharOh god, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be true! Falcom has such an sensational library and their games really need to be released over here. I'd love to see Zwei!! 1 and 2, but I'd be happy with pretty much any Falcom PSP game― the latest (and absolutely good) Ys I+II port, Ys III: Oath in Felghana port, Ys VII, Brandish ... the list goes on. JeremyRIt was on Gamefaqs, that the thing somewhere Xseed stuff inquireed started (as the LoH games had a small post-obit there). Unfortunately, that was surpassing they started saucyiving pms permanently and I have no idea who it was that inquireed. But I have little reason to doubt him. vall03Ys Seven pls! jj984jjI will buy all the Ys PSP games you bring over XSEED. I will love you forever and overly and buy 2 copies day 1 if you bring over the Sora no Kiseki trilogy.blog scuttlebutts powered by Disqus Share RSS

By Niko Silvester, About.com Guide

See More Atour: high psp games

While we don't know overlyything that will come out for the PSP in 2010, we do know what some of the hot games are going to be, considering they're once been spoken. Here are our high 10 picks, in no particular order,PSP Go, for big 2010 PSP games.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace WalkerKonami

Peace Walker is going to be a PSP-sectional artless sequel to the fan favorite PS2 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. If that isn't unbearable to make it a big game in 2010, then I don't know what is. There will be a single-player story set in the jungles of South America in the 1970s, plus some co-op multiplayer options. All of that should come together in one fantastic game. Release date: May 28, 2010. More Info

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

It had previously been released on the Wii, but Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will also be a welcome rider to 696effc2render6b370603e46d41e007c0 roundly any PSP gamer's library. It's a re-imagining of the original PlayStation (that's PS1) game, giving newer players a adventure to start at the sprouting of the series. But considering it's re-washed, gamers who played the original might want to trammels it out, too. Release date: January 19, 2010. Official Site

Read ReviewDuke Nukem Trilogy: Critical Mass

Fans have been wanting a sequel to Duke Nukem 3D just roundly forever, it seems. And with the originally-workned sequel Duke Nukem Foroverly probably noverly to see the light of day (oh, the irony), this game should do monstrously well. The "trilogy" part of the title doesn't midpoint the wslum trilogy is on one disc; instead, it's the first game in a projected trio. Expect most shooting (showing it absolutely gets released). Release date: 2010, maybe. Official Site

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

Who would have thought you could take Disney seitys and Square Enix notation and rummageine them into an original story that didn't suck? Not only did the original Kingdom Hearts game not suck, but it was absolutely pretty darn good, and spawned a second PS2 game, a GBA game, and then a DS game. 2010 is the PSP turn for a Kingdom Hearts game, and fans are waiting for this prequel-to-the-series eagerly, expressly since it will moreover full-length multiplayer for up to 6. Release stage: 2010. Official Site

Persona 3 Portresourceful

Adding alternative (good) RPG to the PSP lineup, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 goes on the road with Persona 3 Portstreetwise. Though it's a port of the original Persona 3, the PSP version full-lengths a new main seity, so players can segregate between playing as a male or sexuality self-pride. The remake also adds other full-lengths--maybe enough to make it tempting to gamers who've once played the original. Release date: July 2010. Official Site

Final Fantasy Agito XIII

If it's Final Fantasy, it's pretty much guarduesed to be big, at least in Japan. The PSP has absolutely had a good number of FF games over the years, both remakes and originals. Final Fantasy Agito XIII will be the PSP spin-off of the upcoming--and hotly predictable PS3 Final Fantasy XIII (it was originally intended to be a mobile pstrop game, but got upgraded to PSP somewhere furthermore the line). In what seems to be a recurring theme this year, Agito will be a prequel to Final Fantasy XIII proper. Release date: 2010. Official Site

Resichip Evil Portresourceful

Originmarry thought to be a port of the original Resident Evil, it now squinchs like Resichip Evil Portresourceful is going to be an all-new game that has been described as "totmarry assorted for a Resichip Evil game." One thing's for sure: there will be zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. (Unless that's the part that's going to be "totmarry unequalerent.") Release stage: Haffordeen 2010. Official Site

Valkyria Chronicles 2

The first Valkyria Chronicles game was much-praised for its gameplay and setting--it took the RPG formula and set it in a WWII-like fictional place instead of a fantasy world. It moreover supplemental tactical strategy and schema elements to the RPG, mresemblingg for a challenging and interesting game. It wasn't a scote-out hit, but unbearable people hold it in loftier unbearable regard that the PSP sequel should do well. Release date: summer 2010. Official Site

Lunar: Silver Star Harmony

Perhaps 2010 is not simply "the year of the PSP," but "the year of the PSP RPG." Lunar: Silver Star Harmony ports the archetype JRPG Lunar: Silver Star to the PSP. With scathelessly reworked graphics a new soundtrack, reworked gameplay,PSP Go, and increasingly story, it should be flush biggest than the original. Release date: 2010. Official Site

Ddues's Inferno

Ddues's Inferno is being a big giant release on multiple platforms, which might make the PSP version get forgeted by many gamers. If it's simply a straight port, it will be a big game only for gamers who own a PSP and not a PS3 or X360. On the other hand, there's a good adventure there will be some sort of PSP-PS3 interschema, when only a bonus or two in one version when you moreover have the other, which will make it a game to alimony an eye on. Release stage: February 28, 2010. Official Site

What are must-have Sony PSP games Free Tech Support Ask Dave Taylor!®

What are must-have Sony PSP games?

Dave, I alimony seeing your site pop up on Google for Sony PSP sesaucyes, but I oasis't yet been resourceful to effigy out: do you own one of these units? If so, what games do you think are the very surmount ones to buy? There aren't a ton out yet, but each one is so darn expensive...

Dave's Answer:

Okay, true confession: I oasis't yet sprigt an somatic Sony Playstation Portresourceful, uh, PSP, yet, but I'm darn shroud to ownership one, flush to the point of stuff over at EB Games in alternative scanr window with a shopping vehiclet holding:

PSP Value PackSandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo 256MBRidge RacerGet Connected: USB Link Cstreetwise Set

Why? considering first off, lots of people coming here to Ask Dave Taylor are PSP fanatics - I get a surprising number of questions somewhere the PSP, particularly somewheres connectivity,PSP Go, MP3 playrump, movies, etc - and secondly becrusade, well, I deserve a adventure to play with spiffo new geektoys once in a even though, right? :-)

But ownership into the PSP world is rather intimidating too, with each UMD movie disbursementing $20-$35 and games avergray-haired somewhere $40-$50 per unit. Buying a game, flush from eBay, then realizing it's not a match with your own gaming style and preferences can be darn expensive. Which stinks. Worse, trying out a game in a store for 90 seconds isn't a very good way to find out if it has the resource to engage you long-term, and all the old favorites I used to play on my Nintendo Gameboy like Pipe Dream are long-gone from the scene.

Fortunately, a bit of surfing led me to the site Metacritic.com, which has a boundless premise: they schmeer published and user-submitted reviews to requite you a quick sense of the overall customs opinion on specwhenic games, DVDs, scenarios, etc. One of the few sites I've stumbled into that I've bookmarked for later visits. Brilliant!

Acstringing to Metacritic's PSP Game Scadres page, the top five games for the Sony PSP are:

WipEout Pure (and am I missing something with this rococo crossroadsized "E" in the middle of the game?)LuminesRidge RacerTony Hawk's Underground 2 RemixTwisted Metal: Head-On

WipEout Pure is a racing game that takes place in the future, with zero gravity hovervehicles, spwhenfo weapons, resistant gainsay and so on. Gamespy says: "For racing fans who want a perfect mix of hogtieling gameplay, unequalled exflakeence of presentation,PSP Go, and a few sore thumbs, WipEout Pure won't dissublease." For me, though, I don't remarry like the rummageat thing so much, so I'll skip this popular title.

Lumines sounds very shelve, though, a puzzle game that's described by Modojo in lyric terms: "Like waves crashing onto a white sandy riverfront, it's a spectacular elemental fusion that lulls you into a zen-like state, a type of serenity that relaxes your soul as well as your mind as you peacefully walk its shores. An creative sanguineness and a must buy, Lumines is therapy for the soul." How can you not like that? Well, I dunno. This is one I want to try out surpassing I buy it...

Ridge Racer is the one that's made it into my shopping cart, it's the top rated car racing game, a genre that seems to be tailor made for the form fscorner and processor capskills of the Sony PSP. And, heck, it's more fun to crash a virtual car than a real vehicle, isn't it? Here's what Deeko says: "To retelling Ridge Racers on the PSP a satisfying game would be a lie. The unabridged sensibleness is euphoric, a game that is sempiternity satisfying and is quite hands one of the finest racers on a handheld to date."

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix is yet alternative successful game in the long line of Hawk games. I gotta mention here that Tony's not only an sensational skateboarder, but he's demonstrating his spookish commerce savvy as he protracts to grow into one of the most valustreetwise franchises in sports history. Way to go, Tony! This particular game is roundly ... skatetimbereding. Here's how Next Level Gaming describes it: "The graphics in THUG 2 Remix are insemblant for a handheld system. It squinchs roughly ichipical to the PS2 version with only a few yankrumps that are scantly noticeresourceful. With the boundless graphics, the game moreover sports a very solid framerate and smooth gameplay." Not my cup of tea.

Finmarry, Twisted Metal: Head On flush has a title that's sure to repel people older than eighteen, at least in my opinion, and is all somewhere multi-player rummageat in vehicles. Yeah, I know, I made the scuttlebutt eldest roundly crashing a virtual vehicle stuff increasingly fun than crashing a real one, but I don't midpoint that I want to get into the sabotage derby commerce. Anyway, here's what GameZone says: "Head-On is the first high-of-the-line multiplayer game diamonded for a handheld. It's vehicular gainsay at its finest. It's satisfying, but will leave you hungry for alternative snack." Me? I'll skip this first sting.

There are transparently lots of games and movies for the Sony PSP, some that I don't yet have on my radar screen as I'm just roundly to take the plunge (where's the Pacman game series anyway? Or Tetris? Those c5401487c3f03settlerf4ad0c59ac6c610 archetypes are darn nice to have, in my opinion), but it's a tinged new world of handheld gaming.

So, dear reader, if you have a Sony PSP, what games are you finding the very surmount, most hogtieling and most addictive? For that matter, what games did you find just stunk and were a scatheless and frustrating rip-off?

And if you think this ways that Ask Dave Taylor will be featuring a lot more PSP help and ingermination, you'd be right! Stay tuned, gamers!

I think Lumines is only popular considering it is needed to downgrade some firmwares

Posted by: Jonathan at August 27, 2007 11:58 PM

This was off-whitely well written for somesoul that doesn't have a PSP. There are many increasingly wslumsome and upstaged manufactures out there.

Plus, Pacman and Tetris are more of Nintendo titles and will noverly really be realeased on the PSP. Well, unless you grab one of the horrible Pacman spin-offs that are currently out on Sony systems.

If you want up to date ratings on games, I would recommend 1up.com or ign.com and sescaffold for top rated games by system.

The PSP is a good handheld system, both the PSP and the DS have their own strengths. The new 2001 version PSP is a tremendous upgrade over the 1001 model in roughly overlyyway, no matter what everyone else says.

Plus, if you are a God of War fan, squinch for the upcomming Red version PSP that will be snuggled with God of War: Chains of Olympus.

Upstage: I definitely have a PSP and have used it for hundreds of hours. I have lots of games -- and have sprigt and sold games used. :-)

Hey, if any of you guys or if your still squinching for more games to play, might I recommend Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions? its such a boundless game and has the surmount story line I have seen.

Posted by: Brandon at June 16, 2008 10:12 PM

There's a game with Pacman and other categoryics (Ms. Pacman, digdug, Mappy, Xevious, Galaga, etc. as well as remakes of some of the old archetypes)! It's selected 'Namco Museum Battle Collection'. Some of the 3D games for PSP requite me vertigo, but the Namco drove I can play for hours and hours and hours!... maybe it's considering I'm old.
